The school newspaper, The Bulldog, published several times each term. Upper School students manage the publication, while students in all grades are encouraged to become involved. The print edition focuses more on in-depth articles, and the online paper complements it with regularly updated news, features, sports, and opinions. The online edition also offers photo galleries and other multimedia elements in support of print stories.
The Lower School literary magazine began in 2017 and features work from every student in grades 2-5. Students select their own work to submit and a team of students organizes the work with a teacher to publish the annual edition.
My Humanities and Global Studies Capstone focused on how cultural stereotypes can stem from judgments about authentic cuisines. The project then further extended to explore the ways that fast food culture has deteriorated traditional cuisine. In an effort to combat these issues, I wanted to create a cookbook that reflected the great ethnic and cultural diversity in our Bullis family. I collected 32 recipes from our community and tested and photographed each one.
I hope that you view the recipes in this book with an open mind and enjoy the delicious dishes while also learning about many members of our community.
