Guide to Getting Involved

We cannot do it without you

A large part of what makes our community special is YOU. Your family’s involvement at School—in the classroom, on the field or on the stage, and behind the scenes through philanthropy or volunteerism—drives Bullis to greatness. Even with our terrific staff and students, we cannot do it without you.

You can contribute by donating your time, giving to the Bullis Fund or other campaigns, and in other ways. What’s most important is that you participate. Our strength comes from everyone’s combined effort and enthusiasm, and the example you set through volunteering or philanthropy will resonate with the students, building new experiences for them as well as modeling the value of giving and being involved.

Bullis parents give to the School in so many ways, and volunteering is one of the most important roles parents can have here. From contributing a treat for a staff breakfast to co-coordinating a big event such as our annual Gala, our parents are a vital part of our community and a resource that we truly appreciate. Volunteering at the School via the Parents Association (PA) can result in lasting friendships and deepening ties within this outstanding community. Please watch the School’s weekly e-newsletter, the “Bullis Connection” for lots of upcoming volunteer opportunities.

The most important fundraising resource at Bullis is the Bullis Fund, and we encourage 100% giving participation among our entire community of parents, faculty and staff, trustees and alumni: in fact, our faculty and staff have supported the school with 100% participation for the last three years! This crucial fund acts as the bridge between the revenue of tuition fees and the actual cost of a Bullis education. Bullis Fund dollars support programs in academics, athletics and the arts, technology and financial aid, and help to enrich every Bullis student experience.
