Upper School Ceramics Virtual Gallery
Posted 05/07/2020 09:00AM

Upper School Ceramics I students, 9th to 12th grades, and Art Teacher Alice Shih-Kahn are excited to share their virtual digital exhibition of "Form through Color." Follow the link to tour the gallery space and enjoy the wonderful digital sculptures they have created!

This spring, rather than exploring ceramics through tactile hands-on work with clay, pottery wheel, and glazes, Ceramics I students used the Let's Create app to design several series of pots based on cultural and historical artifacts. The app also guides them in "selling" their work to earn coins and experience the business side of artistic endeavors. The gallery was created via artsteps.com.

Ten Bullis staff members will serve as jurors for the "Form through Color" show. Student names are not included to protect privacy and to allow judges to better evaluate shape, pattern, color, and series cohesion.
