Build important skills and develop academic portfolios

This summer, Bullis will offer four online courses that will give students the chance to build important skills and develop their academic portfolios. The online teachers use educational technology tools that allow them to engage with students in a way that complements the face-to-face classroom environment. Zoom is a video conferencing tool that allows teachers to create a classroom like setting online. Weekly Zoom sessions offer opportunities for students to connect with their teacher, with one another, or one-on-one during online office hours.

For the summer of 2019, Bullis teachers will be the instructors for the four online classes offered. Dr. Tinker will teach Online English Writing for High School & Beyond, Dr. Narcisenfeld will teach Online Personal Finance, Dr. Nichols will teach Online Geometry and Mrs. Martin will teach Online Public Health & Personal Wellness. The courses all begin June 17 and continue for 6 weeks with the exception of Geometry which runs for 8 weeks. Interested students should go to to register.

Online English Writing for High School & Beyond offers students the chance to develop the craft of writing and build skills that will help them in all academic subjects as well as the ACT and SAT. Online Personal Finance is a great fit for every student as it develops financial literacy including proficiency in budgeting and money management. Online Geometry helps students enhance their existing math skills and complete an entire year of math in 8 weeks. Online Public Health fulfills the graduation requirement for health which will allow for increased flexibility during the school year. Bullis offers multiple courses during the academic year as well.
