Equity, Inclusion & Justice (EIJ) Committee

Allison began her work in equity and inclusion as a Resident Advisor (RA) in the dorms while at the University of Michigan. The required course RAs take prior to serving in dorms prepared Allison to facilitate intergroup dialogues, host and coordinate affinity groups, and address issues related to diversity. Following graduation, Allison continued her work as a diversity practitioner as a sponsor of the Diversity Club at Farmington High School in Farmington, Minnesota. Allison serves as co-chair of the Committee for Equity, Inclusion, and Justice at Bullis helping to implement school-wide programming and professional development. Allison has also presented her work at the national NAIS People of Color Conference (2018) with EI&J co-chair Bryan Whitford and BITlab Director Matt Zigler. She also presented at the White Privilege Conference (2019) in Des Moine, Iowa. Allison continues to broaden her diversity practitioner skills by attending workshops and conferences whenever she can.
