I am a former banker with nearly 30 years of experience in international and domestic commercial banking. When I left banking, my natural inclination was to go into teaching to impart my knowledge about business and economics to the next generation of young adults who will be entering the workforce.

There is a Chinese proverb that says, “Tell me and I forget. Show me and I remember. Involve me and I understand.” I truly believe this is the most effective way to learn how business and commerce fits in the world’s mosaic . By involving the student in an engaging, creative and exciting way, I hope to make them enthusiasts for the subject I am teaching.

My husband and I live in Potomac and have two sons who both graduated from American University. I understand the challenges that parents face in raising their children and am proud to be part an institution that is devoted to developing exceptional students by providing the best in academics, technology and extracurricular activities.
