  • Honors American Humanities Seminar

In English class, we make real life connections, no matter the decade (or century) of the literature. Whether we participate in a virtual literary world online with Ning, or act out Shakespeare in class, we’re going to reach greater understanding through creative channels.

The Humanities classroom allows for incredible opportunities to creatively explore the connections between the evolution of America’s history and the literature that challenged and reflected on this journey. I am delighted to team with Ms. Topliffe as we challenge students to critically think, reflect, and have fun in the learning process.

I have taught for 23 years, and my nine years at Bullis have taken my teaching to a whole new level. We are constantly looking for ways to make our teaching practices and curriculum even stronger, and I love that challenge.
