Currently teaches:

  • Latin I
  • Latin III
  • Latin IV
  • Honors Latin V
  • AP Latin/Vergil
  • Classical Mythology II

I became a teacher because I find what I do to be fascinating and fun and because an understanding of the past—language, history, literature, and all—is essential if we hope to avoid the pitfalls of the future.

My goal is to help students realize that Latin is not a dead language, but an immortal one. The ancient world is not dead but rather a hidden reality in our own lives and, by helping students recognize that, we work to reveal those secrets and expose students to an entirely new facet of their daily existence.
