Meet Our Staff

Stacie Gottlieb: Director of Extended and Summer Programs

Years at BSP: 5

Hometown: Owings Mills, MD

Hobbies: Cooking, traveling, hiking with my dog, decorating and arts & crafts.

Fun fact: I am in the Guinness Book of World Records 2011. I was part of the record breaking event for having the most leprechauns in one room on St. Patrick's Day. I was an extra dressed up as a leprechaun on the Jay Leno Show.

Looking forward to most in summer 2018: I am looking forward to another amazing summer on the beautiful Bullis School campus getting to know all the campers and staff.

Favorite camp memory or game: Color Wars was my favorite game at camp. The campers and staff were divided in four colors throughout the camp session. We had games and activities throughout the weeks where we could earn points for our team.

Favorite Quote: "Live every moment, laugh every day, and love beyond words."

Sharon Buell: Summer Programs Manager

Years at BSP: 8

Hometown: Frederick, MD

Hobbies: Volleyball, basketball, playing piano and guitar, writing, traveling and reading!

Fun fact: I idolized Michelle Kwan as a kid, and I took ice skating lessons. My dreams of actually being Michelle Kwan were dashed when I failed to master skating backwards at age six.

Looking forward to most in summer 2018: Traveling!

Favorite camp memory or game: I went to a sleep-away camp that cost $50 a week—no air conditioning, hills everywhere, limited running water—and it was ALWAYS my favorite part of the summer. Sports all day long, a dangerous water-slide made of concrete, learning about Jesus in the evenings, and the most fun counselors of all time—I never wanted to leave on the last day of camp!

Favorite Quote: "Develop an interest in life as you see it: the people, things, literature, music—the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls, and interesting people. Forget yourself." – Henry Miller

Holly Moffett: Administrative Assistant

Years at BSP: 2

Hometown: Blue Bell, PA

Hobbies: Cooking, baking, long walks with my pup, and crafting!

Fun fact: I had never been on a plane until I was 23 years old and my trip was to Beijing, China. 13 hours for a first time flyer was interesting to say the least!

Looking forward to most in summer 2018: Visiting family, beach trips, and BSP 2018 of course!

Favorite camp memory or game: I loved any water games! On a hot day, nothing is better than a game of swim tag, Marco Polo, or tube races.

Favorite Quote: "The most wasted of all days is one without laughter." E.E. Cummings

Parker Benedict: Office Assistant

Years at BSP: First summer with BSP!

Hometown: Owings Mills, MD

Hobbies: Spending time outside running and hiking, visiting friends in the US and abroad, playing sports and reading.

Fun fact: While working in Costa Rica with a high school immersion group two summers ago I witnessed an eruption of the volcano, Turrialba.

Looking forward to most in summer 2018: Moving from Virginia into DC and getting to know the summer camp community at Bullis!

Favorite camp memory or game: Each summer at my camp in western New York there was a lip syncing contest between the different age groups. One summer, my group won the contest with the theme ‘The Game of Life’ which featured songs and dances from different stages of life. As the winners, we got to go on to perform our show for the whole community, which was as close to being a celebrity as I will ever get. As a counselor at camp this tradition continued to be one of my favorites as it allowed each camper to be silly and have fun!

Favorite Quote: “Seek patience and passion in equal amounts. Patience alone will not build the temple. Passion alone will destroy its walls.” - Maya Angelou
