Meet Our Staff
Larry Jenney: Director of Summer Programs
Years at BSP: First year!
Hometown: Alexandria, VA
Hobbies: Bicycling, hiking, basketball, and playing cribbage
Fun fact: I have been (and stayed) in 48 of the 50 US states. I have Alaska and Maine left on the list.
Looking forward to most in summer 2019: I am looking forward to joining a great new team of professionals at Bullis and to making the summer of 2019 the best it can be.
Favorite camp memory or game: Civil War Camp: We went to Gettysburg, PA and saw the new "Visitor's Center' and its 'Cyclorama'. The campers all had an incredible and memorable time while learning about US History. When we arrived back at campus, all of the campers were sound asleep on the bus. It was a great day!
Favorite Quote: "Onward, through the fog."
Sharon Buell: Summer Programs Manager
Years at BSP: 9
Hometown: Frederick, MD
Hobbies: Volleyball, basketball, playing piano and guitar, writing, traveling and reading!
Fun fact: I idolized Michelle Kwan as a kid, and I took ice skating lessons. My dreams of actually being Michelle Kwan were dashed when I failed to master skating backwards at age six.
Looking forward to most in summer 2019: Traveling!
Favorite camp memory or game: I went to a sleep-away camp that cost $50 a week—no air conditioning, hills everywhere, limited running water—and it was ALWAYS my favorite part of the summer. Sports all day long, a dangerous water-slide made of concrete, learning about Jesus in the evenings, and the most fun counselors of all time—I never wanted to leave on the last day of camp!
Favorite Quote: "Develop an interest in life as you see it: the people, things, literature, music—the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls, and interesting people. Forget yourself." – Henry Miller
Holly Moffett: Administrative Assistant
Years at BSP: 3
Hometown: Blue Bell, PA
Hobbies: Cooking, baking, long walks with my pup, and crafting!
Fun fact: I had never been on a plane until I was 23 years old and my trip was to Beijing, China. 13 hours for a first time flyer was interesting to say the least!
Looking forward to most in summer 2019: Visiting family, beach trips, and BSP 2019 of course!
Favorite camp memory or game: I loved any water games! On a hot day, nothing is better than a game of swim tag, Marco Polo, or tube races.
Favorite Quote: "The most wasted of all days is one without laughter." E.E. Cummings
Bailey Brown: Office Assistant
Years at BSP: 5
Hometown: Bethesda, MD
Hobbies: Baking, dancing, reading, hiking, and puzzles
Fun Fact: I attended Bullis School for high school and I worked as a counselor for BSP for five years!
Looking forward to most in summer 2019: I am most looking forward to seeing my campers from past summers and meeting new ones.
Favorite camp memory or game: My favorite sleep-away camp memory is roasting marshmallows by the fire pit every Saturday night. We would get to make s’mores, sing campfire songs, and tell ghost stories.
