Bullis Culinary Academy
Prepare your favorite meals from scratch! In this highly popular camp, campers cook new dishes each theme day. Themes can include Breakfast, Farmer’s Market Friday or International Day. Campers take home delicious recipes, while learning the importance of kitchen safety and making healthy food choices. At the end of each session, campers work together in teams to compete in an exciting cook-off by demonstrating their newly acquired culinary skills to a panel of judges.
Director: Heather Davis is a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher with Montgomery County Public Schools. Ms. Davis started working in the food service industry in college and has worked for amusement parks and restaurants, both corporate and locally owned. While teaching middle school, Ms. Davis led after-school clubs in baking and sewing; she has also coached a high-school culinary team. Ms. Davis has been working with Bullis Summer Programs since 2013.
