All the World’s a Stage
Using the works and practices of a Shakespearean acting troupe as a launching pad, campers form their own “company” while learning the principles of theatrical production. No experience is necessary – just a desire to play and to discover the wonderful world of Shakespeare in a nurturing environment.
The two-week camp features structured and fun performance-oriented workshops addressing text, voice, movement, character development, stage combat, dance, and improvisation. In addition to a trip to Folger Theatre, this camp culminates in a short production – staged, stage-managed, and performed by campers for family and friends at the end of the session.
