Public Health & Personal Wellness
Public Health & Personal Wellness
Trimester course: 6 weeks June 14 - July 23
Open to rising 10th – 12th grade Bullis students
Instructor: Mrs. Rachel Moore
Course Capacity: Minimum 10 students; maximum 16 students.
Orientation Meeting: Summer online Public Health begins with a mandatory orientation meeting via a videoconference session before the course begins. An online course can be completed from any location—as long as you have your computer and reliable daily internet connection.
Description
This trimester, fully online skills-based course examines a variety of topics that fall under personal health, mental health, health and safety, and public health. By the end of the course, each student should have a better understanding of what health is and why it matters to each one of us. This course is a Bullis graduation requirement. On average, students can expect 6-8 hours working online each week.

Public Health and Personal Wellness: Online
Open to rising 9th - 12th grade students
Description
This trimester, fully online skills-based course examines a variety of topics that fall under personal health, mental health, health and safety, and public health, and is delivered completely online. Students will debate, research, discuss and even build nutrient molecules to develop an understanding of mental, physical, and emotional wellness. By the end of the course each student should have a better understanding of what health is and why it matters to each one of us. The knowledge and skills from this course are intended to positively influence critical thinking and adolescent decision making in order to promote a healthier lifestyle now and in the future. This course is a graduation requirement. On average, students can expect 6-8 hours working online each week.
