Upper School Students Fighting Hunger with Empty Bowls
Bullis students creating ceramic bowls

Upper School students in Ceramics I, taught by Art Teacher Alice Shih-Kahn, are creating bowls for the special charity event "Empty Bowls," hosted by VisArts. Handcrafted bowls will be exhibited for donors to select; the bowls will then be filled with food and given to individuals in need.

All the bowls created by our Ceramics I students will be donated to this worthy cause. The proceeds will support Manna, a local food bank, and KIND (Kids in Need Distributors), a local organization providing grocery cards to children in 26 Montgomery County schools to purchase food.

We encourage Bullis families to virtually attend this event to see Bullis student work and donate on Thursday, November 19.
