James W. '29 Advances to the National Championships of the National Science Bee
Earlier this month, four 6th graders from the Bullis Class of 2029 competed in the Regional Final for the National Science Bee through International Academic Competitions.
Vivian K., James W., Sire S., and Michael M. competed well and did their absolute best. They enjoyed using the buzzers in the three rounds of competition. James W. did a fantastic job and will advance to the National Championships in Arlington, VA, in June.
Congratulations to all participants — and James, we wish you the best of luck at the Nationals!
The National Science Bee has three qualifying stages for each age/grade division. First is the qualifying exam to determine which students have qualified for the Regional Finals. Second is the Regional Finals, a science-themed, buzzer-based academic quiz competition, where students put their science knowledge to use against other students in their region in an engaging quiz tournament setting. The final and third stage is the National Championships; the best regional players from around the country compete in a final buzzer-based competition for the championship in their division.
