The 2021 Chinese New Year or the Spring Festival (Lunar New Year) begins on Friday, February 12. The new year marks the transition between Chinese zodiac signs: 2021 is the year of the Ox, which is predicted to be a lucky year.

During normal times, Bullis celebrates in-person with a grand Chinese New Year assembly for the entire school. Things may look a bit different this year, because of the ongoing pandemic. Nonetheless, we continue this tradition virtually during the Student Government Association's morning show 'Bullis Rise Up' on Wednesday, February 10.

Students in Xueying Clarke's Upper and Middle School Chinese language classes worked with our international students to host a virtual Chinese New Year program. The celebratory presentation is full of trivia, performances, and a special message from international students studying remotely in China.

We are thrilled to share the 2021 Chinese New Year program with you! Happy Lunar New Year!
