Bullis Student Artists Triumph at Stone Ridge's 8th Annual Winter Juried Exhibition

Bullis Student Artists Triumph at Stone Ridge's 8th Annual Winter Juried Exhibition
1st place photography: Yawen B. '24

The Upper School Visual Art Department recently selected 17 students to represent Bullis in the Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart 8th Annual Winter Juried Exhibition. The exhibition is currently on display in the Fitzpatrick Family Gallery in the Mater Center Arts building at Stone Ridge and will run through January 12, 2024.

The juror for the exhibition was Washington, D.C. gallery owner, Amy Kaslow. We are excited to announce that Bullis students emerged as the big winners, receiving the most awards. Emily W. '24 and Cami A. '24 both won the 1st place drawing award, while Yawen B. '24 was awarded 1st place in photography.

Although the competition did not have a mixed media category, the juror was highly impressed with submissions from Elizabeth B. '25, Jacob L. '25, and Alexis P. '25. As a result, special recognition awards were created to recognize all three works of art.

We are so proud of all the student artists and congratulate them on their achievements. The exhibition features over 160 works of art from 10 different area schools and offers an excellent opportunity for creative expression and showcasing their talents.

If you are interested in seeing the artwork displayed, you can visit the Mater Center at Stone Ridge before January 12, 2024.
