Bullis Student Ethan Zhou '26 Co‑Authors Groundbreaking Research in Health and Metabolism Journal

Bullis is thrilled to celebrate senior Ethan Zhou '26 for co-authoring a research article, “Progress in Henipavirus Neutralizing Antibody for Therapeutic Development,” published in the peer-reviewed journal Health and Metabolism.
The article explores advances in neutralizing antibodies against henipaviruses, a group of deadly zoonotic viruses with no licensed vaccines or therapeutics for humans. Ethan and his co-authors detail how lead monoclonal antibodies block viral entry by targeting conserved viral epitopes, discuss challenges such as narrow treatment windows and viral escape, and outline strategies for developing antibody therapeutics with strong potential in outbreak settings.
This achievement highlights the School’s commitment to supporting student research and academic scholarship, with Bullis proudly listed in the article’s formal citation. Ethan’s work exemplifies the kind of meaningful, high-level research our students pursue—extending learning beyond the classroom and making a contribution to the global scientific community.
