Bobby Horsey Announced as Head Coach & Director of Girls' Lacrosse Program
Bobby Horsey

We are pleased to announce Bobby Horsey as Head Coach and Director of the girls’ lacrosse program. During the past few seasons, Coach Horsey has served as the Associate Head Coach of the program, and Coach Lloyd is excited to transition roles with him as the program enters into a new era. Coach Lloyd has expertly built and led this program for over 24 years, 20 of those as Head Coach. We thank her for her leadership and dedication to our student-athletes and her continued involvement in the program as she assumes the role of Associate Head Coach, focusing on the expertise she brings to the defense.

Coach Horsey brings a wealth of experience and an innovative coaching style to the Bulldog program. He has been a member of the Bullis faculty for six years, serving as a teacher in the Upper and Middle schools, co-chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, and coach of multiple sports. He currently serves as the elite skills and head coach for Bethesda Lacrosse and DC Express Lacrosse clubs. As a premier coach for Committed Combine, he is an active member of NILCA, an organization that provides DEI support for high school coaches and programs around the country.

Coach Horsey had an exceptional career as a lacrosse player in high school, college, and as a professional. He was a USA Lacrosse All-American and team captain at West Chester East High School in Pennsylvania. He attended Loyola University in Maryland where he was a four-year starter, captained the lacrosse team his senior year, was named a USA Lacrosse All-American, and received the Mohler Award, presented to the school’s most outstanding male athlete. As a professional, Horsey was a National Lacrosse League and Major League Lacrosse player from 2002-2009. During that time he was a two-time world champion with the Philadelphia Barrage, where he played most of his pro career in the MLL, and was a bronze medal winner as a member of the 2007 USA Indoor Lacrosse Team that participated in the NIL World Championships.

Bullis is privileged to have two such expert coaches guiding our girls' program into the future.
