Bullis Students Advance to 2024 National History Day Competition
Five juniors from Bullis's Class of 2025 competed at the 2024 Maryland History Day at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. More than 500 students from 22 school districts across the state participated in this event. Bullis has been participating in this program for the last 15 years and has sent more than 1,000 students to the competition, with at least one student advancing to the National competition every year.
This year, National History Day celebrates its 50th anniversary with the theme "Turning Points in History".
We are thrilled to announce that three Bullis students will advance to the National History Day competition, June 9-13 at University of Maryland in College Park.
First Place, Senior Group performance:
"The Minute They Catch on Fire": The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire and the Turning Point in Women's Activism and Labor Laws.
