Washington Post All Met

The Washington Post selects the best of the best athletes from the D.C. area for each athletic season. Bullis has achieved top recognition in the 2023-2024 Winter Washington Post All-Met rankings, with 22 student-athletes, including Athlete of the Year and one Coach of the Year, making the elite list.

Bullis student-athletes have been selected to The Washington Post's 2023-24 All-Met teams in the following categories.


Boys' Indoor Track

Athlete of the Year

Quincy Wilson, Washington Post All-Met Athlete of the Year

Quincy Wilson of Bullis is the 2023-24 boys' indoor track Athlete of the Year. (Marvin Joseph/The Washington Post)

Quincy Wilson '26, So., Bullis

Wilson followed up a standout freshman year by cementing himself as one of the top track prospects in the nation. He capped his sophomore year by shattering a 20-year-old high school 400-meter record with a time of 45.76 seconds at New Balance Nationals. He boasts the U.S. No. 1 time in the 500- and 600-meter races. He also ran top-five times in the 200 and 300 this season and helped Bullis break national records in the 4x400-meter relay and the 1,600-meter sprint medley relay.

Coach of the Year

Joe Lee, Washington Post All-Met Coach of the Year

Joe Lee, Bullis

Lee has built Bullis into a national powerhouse since taking over as coach in 2013. Under his guidance this winter, Bullis broke national records in the 4x400 relay, the 1,600 sprint medley relay and the 400. The Bulldogs boast six high school records between the boys' and girls' programs, all of which have been earned during Lee's tenure.

Colin Abrams '25, Jr., Bullis

Abrams earned his status as one of the top 800-meter runners in the nation during his first year at Bullis. He placed second at New Balance nationals with a time of 1 minute 49.71 seconds and played a key role in the Bulldogs' record-breaking 4x400-meter relay.

Girls' Indoor Track

First team

Sydney Sutton '25, Jr., Bullis

Sutton competed among the best short-distance runners in the nation throughout her junior season and ended the year with top-five times in the 300 and 400. She finished third at New Balance nationals in the 400 and recorded a personal-best time of 53.08 seconds.

The highflying Stevens has seen his stock soar in the past year, as he averaged 14 points and shot 43 percent from deep to help the Bulldogs win an outright title in the Interstate Athletic Conference.
