Congratulations to Bullis student Stella X. '23 and her team members Jack W. (Georgetown Prep) and Emily H. (Churchill High School) on receiving 1st place in the 2022 University of D.C. Capital Cup Entrepreneurship Competition. The competition is held annually, sponsored by The CIBER at Georgia Tech, and funded by the U.S. Department of Education.

The team submitted their start-up concept, "Bubble and Cotton," a chain of pet recreation centers offering traditional pet goods and pet parties. To enter the competition, they submitted a four-minute video that pitched their idea, target customers, market segment, and marketing plan. The team learned they were finalists, and on August 11, they traveled to the University of D.C. to make their in-person pitch and answer questions in front of three judges.

Stella is a star student of the Entrepreneurship Signature Program. She founded the Financial Education Club, and her enthusiasm for Entrepreneurship led her to win the Entrepreneurship Award in her junior year. We look forward to continued successes for Stella and the launch of Bubble and Cotton in the future!
