Grammar, Mechanics, and Analytic Writing. This six or eight-week, fully online course serves students looking to tune-up grammar, mechanics, usage and analytic writing skills. Through individualized instruction, native and non-native English students will advance their grammar proficiency, which will also prepare students for the English portion of the ACT and the writing portion of the SAT. Using individualized interests, students will also be taken through the process of analytic writing featured in humanities courses such as understanding the prompt, thesis writing, evidence integration, and the introduction and conclusion. On average, students can expect 12-14 hours of work online each week.
