This fully online skills-based course examines a variety of topics that fall under personal health, mental health, health and safety, and public health, and is delivered completely online. Students will debate, research, discuss and even build nutrient molecules to develop an understanding of mental, physical, and emotional wellness. By the end of the course, each student should have a better understanding of what health is and why it matters to each one of us. The knowledge and skills from this course are intended to positively influence critical thinking and adolescent decision making in order to promote a healthier lifestyle now and in the future. This course is a graduation requirement. On average, students can expect 10-12 hours of online work each week.
