Take a short flight to Central America and discover a country rich in history and biodiversity.
Over the course of 8 days, we will learn about the relationship between Panama and the United States and the critical role of the Panama Canal in global trade. We will cruise a portion of the canal and travel through the lock system. We will tour historic Panama City, visit centuries-old churches and forts, and travel by dugout canoe to the Embera Village to meet an Indigenous population. Other highlights include zip-lining, a hike through a rainforest to a stunning waterfall, a tour of a coffee plantation, and a day at the beach with time for snorkeling. This trip is perfect for active and adventurous students, and will include many opportunities for students of Spanish to practice their skills.
