Follow these step-by-step instructions to apply to the Middle School Grades 6-8.
Begin the application process by clicking "apply online' to set up an account in the Admission Portal. This initiates an application inquiry.
You will receive an email confirmation with instructions to:
a. Confirm your account.
b. Submit your application. You must submit your application by the deadline.
We tour and interview as many applicants to grades 6-8 as we can, but the calendar fills up quickly.
Please call the Admission Office at 301-983-5724 after you have submitted your online inquiry to schedule the interview and tour the school while classes are in session.
If you submit an application after deadline, interview times may not be available.
You may also schedule your child’s shadow visit; see Step 6 below.
During the student’s visit, we will ask him/her to write an informal essay in our office. No preparation is needed for this.
The shadow visit is an optional step in the application process for Middle School applicants, yet it is an excellent opportunity for students to experience life at Bullis.
The Admission Office has set aside select Fridays as shadow dates. Students must be active applicants in order to shadow, meaning that an application must be on file and a student interview completed or scheduled.
Spaces are limited, so please call the Admission Office at 301-983-5724 to schedule this visit after you have submitted your application.
Using the Admission Portal application user ID and password you can check the status of your application. All families are expected to follow the status of their child’s application online in the Admission Portal.
Please check this regularly to ensure that your forms have been received and your application file is complete before the application deadline.

From one-to-one laptops and advisory groups that focus on important community and social skills for adolescents, to arts and athletics requirements that give every student a chance to explore and discover new skills and passions, we are developing future leaders and confident students every day.
