Introducing Biko Kujifi as the New Head Varsity Girls Soccer Coach

After an extensive search process, we are extremely excited to announce that our new Head Varsity Girls Soccer Coach will be Biko Kujifi. Coach Biko comes to us with many years of playing and coaching experience.

Coach Biko is originally from the DC metro area, where he played soccer at DeMatha Catholic High School. From there, he played with the University of Maryland Club team, while also participating with the DC United Youth Academy, the Northern Virginia Royals Professional Development League, and the Washington Elite Football Club in the Washington Premier League.

Coach Biko has coached competitive club soccer for the past 11 years; for the past six years, he has been with the Alexandria Soccer Association. He currently works with U17 Girls Academy, and has also coached U13 Boys Academy, U18 Girls Futsal ID, and U15 Girls Futsal ID. He also holds a USSF E and D License and a USYS National Youth Certificate.

Coach Biko’s coaching philosophy

Futbol is truly a passion of mine that I love to share with others. Through futbol comes commitment, hard work, sportsmanship, and camaraderie. I believe that all persons can enjoy this sport regardless of age, gender, race, or social status. Futbol demands higher order thinking and a strong work ethic. My job is to challenge each one of my players to surpass their expectations and play the beautiful game to their best ability

Some nuggets of information about Coach Biko: his favorite team is Arsenal and his favorite hobby is chess.

Coach Biko currently teaches U.S. History, National, State, and Local Government, and African American History at John F. Kennedy High School for grades 9-12.

I am thrilled to become a part of the Bullis family! There is a deep tradition here at Bullis and I am thankful to become a part of the Bullis Community. It has been an honor to meet the parents, faculty, and players, who are all committed to excellence on and off the pitch.
