Creative in Residence
DC-based artist and muralist @NicoleBourgea spent two weeks on campus collaborating with students on a mural with a message inspired by a Henri Matisse quote: "Creativity takes courage." Middle School Art Majors and Upper School students in Advanced Studio Art II helped conceptualize the mural and paint it on a wall in the Blair Family Center for the Arts. This project was funded by a generous grant from the Parents Association.
Representing Bullis School recently at the 9th Global Educators Conference, sponsored by the Global Education Benchmark Group (GEBG), Director of Publications and Design Sherri A. Watkins co-presented with EDU Africa Co-founder Mike Massingham to address: “Virtual Exchanges: Are They Worth It?”
134 Kindergarten through 12th grade students participated in our Spring Recitals, including almost 50 members of our Lower School Beginning Band and String Ensembles. This was an exciting return to an annual event that has not been held since the spring of 2019.
