EP 4 - Lisa Sugar '94 | Work Hard, Play Nice
Lisa Sugar '94 shares how winning Bullis’ Joy of Living Award in ninth grade inspired her to live a powerful and optimistic life, her journey as a pioneer in the entertainment industry — and how she and her husband turned their pop culture blog for women into the multi-million dollar media and technology company, POPSUGAR Inc.
Winning the Manuel Jose Baca, Jr Joy of Living Award in ninth grade really sat with me and who I am today. Even when I created POPSUGAR Inc., I thought about that powerful and optimistic approach to life and desire to make a difference in the daily lives of others. Receiving that award confirmed it for me, and I have carried it with me since 1991. Lisa Sugar '94, co-founder and chief editor of POPSUGAR Incorporated
