What grades did you attend Bullis? What year did you graduate?
6rd - 12th grades, Class of ‘13

Where did you attend college and what is your occupation?
New York University, Actor

What activities or classes were most memorable for you as you reflect on your time at Bullis?
My most memorable activities were the winter musicals and the Chamber Singers the Basilica. My most memorable classes were theatre, choir, and English.

How did Bullis best prepare you for college and beyond?
Bullis prepared me thoroughly for both my collegiate and professional careers. To this day I follow the creeds that "once a scene has been blocked it's memorized", and "acting cannot happen until the lines are learned".

Please tell us about what you have been doing since graduating from Bullis.
Since graduation, I obtained my Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance Musical Theatre with a minor in American Sign Language, performed Off Broadway and in Europe in the musical Rebirth of Rabbit's Foot, stepped into the world of off stage creation as a composer, lyricist, and arranger for Off Broadway, and raised $1500 for the Trevor Project during the Starfound cast's 12 hour stream in 2020.

Which part of your journey has been most rewarding?
The process has been my favorite part to see as I have a front row seat so to speak. I love seeing the progress from start to finish for each show as no two journeys are the same. Each time comes with its own share of successes and failures that inform the story of telling the story.

What would you say to Bullis students who are currently on their journey to finding purpose?
Come ready to work. Come ready to play. Don't feel like you have to be at the end of the journey when you start. Learn all you can at each moment, and you'll get to where you need to be. You're enough. You always have been.

Who is someone that inspires you and how?
Giants of the industry who came before us like Eartha Kitt who, despite odds stacked against her, managed to pursue her own path regardless of the naysayers.

What is the best book or production that you have read, watched, or listened to lately?
Hadestown was inspiring in how it breathed modern life into an ancient tale in a way that was fresh and timeless. As a mythology nerd, I really want to be in that show, haha.

What global challenge would you like to see tackled and how do you see yourself contributing to the positive change that you desire?
I would love to see climate change tackled in a meaningful way as it's inherently a time sensitive issue. I would like to work with other activists and foundations to bring more awareness to the issue so that we have time to lessen the severity of where we're headed.

Why would you tell a prospective family to choose Bullis?
Finding community in the arts at Bullis literally saved my life, and allowed me to meet parts of myself that I never knew existed. I've made lifelong friends, and learned so much thanks to my time there. I found new passions and interests that I enjoy to this day. I wouldn't have been able to become this version of me that I love had it not been for the decision to attend.
