The Sandi Family Lower School

Our brand-new Lower School building officially opened, doubling the size of our K–5 learning space and providing a home thoughtfully designed for our youngest learners.

Each grade level enjoys its own classrooms, along with developmentally appropriate common areas that encourage collaboration and community. Students also benefit from dedicated science and outdoor learning spaces, plus a paved play area, playground, and practice field created just for them.

Every detail of the new building—inside and out—was carefully designed to spark curiosity, inspire exploration, and nurture the joy of learning.

Opened in 2025, Bullis’ 11,048-square-foot playground and adjoining turf field inspire play, exploration, and connection for our youngest learners. The space supports physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth while fostering teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving. As an extension of the classroom, it also provides hands-on, inquiry-based learning and joyful outdoor experiences.

South Hall

South Hall was fully renovated and reopened in September 2025 as the new hub of Middle School life. The renovation brought classrooms, faculty offices, and administration together under one roof within South Hall, strengthening community, streamlining transitions, and supporting deeper, more connected learning across the division. In addition, Middle Schoolers have a dedicated space in the Marriott Family Library and a hands-on makerspace in the Trone Center, providing dynamic spaces to explore, create, and learn.

Bullis' athletics facilities offer a wide range of features to accommodate various sports and activities. The Kline Alumni Stadium, equipped with seating for 2,000, an artificial turf field, an eight-lane all-weather track, and locker rooms, hosts track and field, soccer, field hockey, football, and lacrosse games. Additional facilities include 12 tennis courts (8 outdoor and 4 indoor), two gymnasiums, two indoor basketball courts, a state-of-the-art wrestling gym, and a Strength and Fitness Center. Unique to our location in the DMV area, we have our own baseball stadium with a press box, bleacher seats, and two team dugouts. Other amenities include a lower grass field, elevated turf field, softball diamond, football practice field, and seven locker rooms spread between the Kline Alumni Stadium and the Athletics Center.

The Blair Family Center for The Arts

Each year The Blair Family Center for the Arts (The Blair Center) is the home for dozens of musical, dramatic, and dance productions, as well as assemblies, awards ceremonies, information sessions, and other special events.

In the Marriott Family Library, the best of a traditional library meets curated technology and information media. Home to the Bullis Academic Center, the library provides space for tutoring and academic support for students. Bullis learning specialists, tutors, international student support, writing center, and testing coordinator are all based here.
