How long have you been at Bullis?

Full-time since 2019. I was previously at Bullis from 2015-2018 as the extended day coordinator and as a long-term substitute teacher.

What role or roles do you play at Bullis? If you are teaching faculty, what do you teach?

Fourth Grade Teacher

What made you decide to work in an educational setting?

I've never had a job that didn't involve working with kids in some way. One of my favorite things about working with kids and students is being able to witness their curiosity and their wonder come to life.

What is your favorite thing about working at Bullis?

The sense of community

When not at Bullis, what interests do you pursue?

I got into boxing about a year ago and that has quickly become a passion. I recently taught myself how to crochet. I'm not very good yet, but I'm getting there!

What is the best book or production that you have read, watched, or listened to lately?

A documentary on the rum runner The Real McCoy

What global challenge would you like to see tackled and how do you see yourself contributing to the positive change that you desire?

I would like to see more sustainable living become the norm. It's a slow start, but I do my best to make sure I am using reusable items like water bottles and coffee cups and moving away from one use plastics.

What is one fun fact about you that others may not know or may surprise them?

Due to a genetic trait, I didn't have wisdom teeth.

Why would you tell a prospective family to choose Bullis?

Bullis is much more than our three word motto, Caring, Challenging, Community; Bullis is a family where everyone has a seat at the table.
