To help students realize their full potential
What is your favorite thing about working at Bullis?
Working in a community that knows where it wants to be and what it wants to be.
When not at Bullis, what interests do you pursue?
Being outdoors with family, cooking over fire, coaching and playing ice hockey
Who is someone that inspires you and how?
Bruce Lee, as he coined the idea of Jeet Kun Do, the very essence of which is to find, "No way as way, no limitation as limitation." Once this is applied to schools nothing but themselves can stop their success.
What is the best book or production that you have read, watched, or listened to lately?
Book - Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk. Youtube Video - Go With your Gut: Magnus Walker
What global challenge would you like to see tackled and how do you see yourself contributing to the positive change that you desire?
I'd like to see education be made more functional, particularly where we have the chance to really reformulate the way things are accomplished. I see making small changes at the school level first, then taking the message beyond, as I have done in the past, with giving national and global presentations on the topic.
What is one fun fact about you that others may not know or may surprise them?
Old standby for me: I was a tuxedo model in a fashion show in high school.
Why would you tell a prospective family to choose Bullis?
Because I am in your shoes. I have great options for free, but I am putting my faith and chance for opportunity in the hands of a school that has proven time and again to be worth the investment and value.
