  • What grade did you start at Bullis?
  • 3rd grade, which at the time was the youngest entry grade. I'm proud to be a lifer.

  • What classes have you most enjoyed at Bullis and why?
  • I have enjoyed a vast majority of the classes at Bullis throughout a wide variety of subjects. It would be hard to single out a class.

  • What activities do you participate in at Bullis?
  • I actively participate in Bullis' music program, in which I do multiple activities. I am a part of the Choir, which I have been partaking in for many years at Bullis. I am also passionate about the piano, which I have been playing since I was about four years old. At Bullis, I often accompany the Choir with the piano, and additionally have played in the Pit Orchestra for the winter musical for the past two years and have participated in Bullis' honors recitals at Strathmore. I also volunteer my time by playing the piano at senior living homes and hospitals.

My main academic extracurricular at Bullis would probably be Model UN which I have been doing since 7th grade; I am on the Leadership Team and have attended many conferences, both in person and recently virtual, including ones at the State Department. I additionally have played on the varsity tennis team for the past two years at Bullis (and all three years on the A team in MS).

  • What do you like most about the Bullis community?
  • Regarding Bullis, I love how balanced academics, arts, and sports are and how one can easily partake–to a certain degree–in all of them without it being too intrusive. For example, I have found that Bullis has allowed me to balance academics very well with the arts–I am able to actively partake in choir and play the piano at numerous occasions while simultaneously taking five APs without any of it dominating anything else.

  • What are you most passionate about and why?
  • One of the things which I am passionate about is commercial aviation, which I have been interested in for longer than I can remember. I actually have a website in which I write about commercial aviation (www.airtravelanalysis.com). I have been running the website for over two years now and really enjoy writing for it in my free time. I also am passionate about the piano, which I have been playing for many years now and participate at Bullis through many angles.

  • Why Bullis?
  • Bullis truly is a very welcoming community, overall, and I found that throughout all three divisions which I have attended, the vast majority of students and especially teachers are indeed very kind and caring. The teachers at Bullis are also absolutely spectacular, with what strikes out to me how accessible and passionate they are.
