  • What grade are you currently in and how long have you been a student at Bullis?
  • I am currently in 11th grade and have been a student at Bullis since 6th grade.
  • What classes have you most enjoyed at Bullis and why?
  • The classes I enjoyed most during my last two years in Upper School are AP Latin, AP World History, and Honors English II. AP Latin with Mr. Green was the most challenging course I've taken at Bullis, but it helped me grow greatly as a student and improved my problem-solving skills. It was fascinating to read about Rome's history in Latin. AP World History with Ms. Melanson was an amazing class to learn about historical cultures from all over the world and see how they are interconnected. Mr. Rau's Honors English II class was fantastic because I thoroughly enjoy literary analysis.
  • What activities do you participate in at Bullis?
  • I am the co-president of the National Art Honor Society club. I am also a part of National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honors Society, Bullis Student Tutors, and the Yearbook Committee at Bullis. Outside of school I am the state historian of the Maryland Junior Classical League and I am involved in multiple community service initiatives.
  • What are you most passionate about and why?
  • I am most passionate about helping my community through creativity. I am an innovative person with creative ideas. Some initiatives I have led in the past include making personal protective gear during the pandemic for front-line health workers. I started my own nonprofit organization that encourages youth to be innovative through various creative competitions.
  • What global challenge would you like to see tackled and how do you see yourself contributing to the positive change that you desire?
  • I am troubled by the world's global environmental issues that humans have caused. Biodiversity loss is an extremely pressing matter, as habitat destruction is occurring at an alarming rate and several species have been driven towards extinction. In the future, I would like to combat this issue by creating initiatives that help improve environments for animals to live in.
  • What do you like most about the Bullis community?
  • I love how engaged Bullis students are in the school activities they participate in, whether it is academic, athletic, or artistic. I constantly see my fellow peers helping our community "be more" by taking initiatives in community service and being active in Bullis's wide range of student-led clubs. The faculty here are incredibly supportive and always encourage their students to improve themselves.
