Lower School Curriculum
Big Opportunities, Ideas, Friendships, and Dreams
Grounded in a sense of caring and student-centered learning, Lower School students accept academic challenges while embracing both community and individual responsibility. Students develop as solution-oriented children, thinking critically, and being resourceful.
- We start each day in Morning Meeting, which builds both community and a clear sense of individual responsibility.
- Through a well-integrated, interdisciplinary curriculum, Lower School students develop skills in all subject areas that encourages them to explore, create, and analyze the world around them.
- Teachers embrace ways to provide individual instruction based on student need and interest, using innovative and stimulating approaches to advance student knowledge and meet high standards.

Signature Programs
Complementing our rigorous core academics, Bullis offers three Signature Programs – Entrepreneurship; Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); and Visual and Performing Arts (VPA). Lower School students are exposed to each program through interdisciplinary and experiential opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.
