Bullis Summer Programs

Creative Studio: Ceramics and Beyond

During the two weeks of Creative Studio, campers are sculptors in the mornings and studio artists in the afternoons. Throughout the morning, campers work with clay to make a variety of ceramic pieces, experimenting with various clay-building techniques and glazing. In the afternoons, campers have the chance to design and create individual, unique artistic pieces, with the aid of their experienced art instructor. With access to many types of art materials and focus on studio time, campers work in groups, collaborate with other campers or work directly with the teacher to design their own artistic creations.

Director: Lindsey Stone is in her 11th year of teaching art in Montgomery County and spends her summers teaching at various art camps in the area. She is a cartoonist and muralist and believes that creativity and a big imagination are the keys to success for any artist, young or old!

“It was so much fun I wanted to go for the rest of the summer.”
