Series of one-acts presented
The Upper School Theatre Program presented a series of one-act plays for their Fall Theatre Festival:
"Miss You" by David Auburn, was featured at the HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado, and tells the story of two couples who rearrange via call-waiting.
"For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls" by Christopher Durang, is a parody of "The Glass Menagerie," and tells the story of a fading southern belle who tries to prepare her hyper-sensitive and hypochondriacal son for "a feminine caller."
"The Art of Self-Defense" by Trish Johnson, tells the story of five very different women who meet in a tai chi class and discover the strength that friendship among women can provide.
"Driver's Test" by Don Zolidis. Teenager Gail may have the worst DMV tester and instructor any kid can have. Margie "feels the need for speed" in this hilarious show as she urges Gail to push the speedometer to the limit and evade the police, taking both of them on the wildest ride of their lives.
