Ms. Lisa Clarke recognized for her commitment to school and students

Each year, the Upper School Student Government Association presents one staff member with an award in celebration and recognition of their outstanding commitment to Bullis School, its students, and for embodying the true spirit of the school itself. Today, we are excited to name the 2016-2017 recipient of this award.
When asked to speak about this staff member, students described her as warm, funny, and intelligent. One student applauded the vital role she plays in the Bullis community to enhance students' classroom experience. Others commented on her unceasing willingness to help students with their research projects. Her colleagues praised her encyclopedic knowledge, whether it be shown during history day or a foreign language event, and they stand in awe of her unique abilities to support the student body and teachers with her globalized intelligence.
Many students pointed to her work ethic: She works with every student in the school, making a concerted effort to help each student individually. Sometimes, she stays as late as 6:00 pushing in chairs, commenting on research projects, or talking with students about their day. Her kindness has touched the hearts of this community since joining two years ago. And, everyone who has walked into the library can attest to having been greeted by her welcoming smile.
Ms. Clarke, your support of our community has been instrumental in both student and staff growth. Your kindness and friendship touch our lives on a daily basis. Your quiet humility speaks volumes to us. You go about your day, not seeking recognition, but enjoying the satisfaction of helping others. We are grateful to have such an amazing person in our corner. In so many ways, you are Bullis.
