Space Science & Astronomy

Uncover the secrets of the solar system and beyond! Campers learn about space, weather, supernovas, black holes and the moon’s phases. They continue their investigation of the skies by exploring amazing robot discoveries on Mars, the creation of orbits, space travel, moonrocks and more. Campers construct their own spectrograph to study light, discover what stars are made out of and build and launch a water rocket. They learn how to use a telescope and track the sun across the sky. In this camp, find out how big is big, how far is far and how small you really are.

Provider: The Rockville Science Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring a passion for lifelong exploration of science (rockvillesciencecenter.org).
