The Science of Life

Do you wonder how animals evolve or what DNA is? In this camp, hands-on activities bring the fundamentals of biology to life. With a focus on animals and humans, campers receive an introduction to evolution. They delve into DNA, dissecting fruit and creating DNS models, and they explore the Bullis biosphere and biodiversity as they work to discover the answers to complex questions rooted in biology. Campers also explore emerging biotechnology in Montgomery County and learn what it means to be a scientist through studying scientific method, testing hypotheses, collecting data and making presentations.

Provider: The Rockville Science Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring a passion for lifelong exploration of science (rockvillesciencecenter.org).
