Bullis’ Concert Choir, under the direction of Director Jason Strunk, performed as part of the Independent School’s Choral Festival at the National Cathedral. The spectacular event brings together choral groups from Bullis, Georgetown Day, Holton-Arms, Landon, Maret, National Cathedral, Potomac, St. Albans and Sidwell Friends. This year’s was the 21st annual concert.

Each school performed one piece on its own, and in addition the schools combined efforts for a few mass choir performances.

Bullis sang “Musicks Empire” by Lloyd Pfautsch (1975). In addition, Mr. Strunk conducted the massed women’s choir singing “I Will Be Earth,” from Songs for Women’s Voices by Gwyneth Walker (1992).

Under a spectacular full moon in the National Cathedral, it was a beautiful night of music.
