Buddy Bison Dioramas

3rd grade artwork goes on display at the Georgetown North Face store

The 3rd grade combined art and science in a recent project that is now on display for many to see! Each student selected a national park to research as a science project on the environment. Then, under the careful guidance of their art teacher they created a diorama highlighting special features of the park.

Some students selected nearby parks—like Clara Barton National Historic Site in Glen Echo—while others set their sites further afield and researched parks in Florida, Colorado and other states.

The North Face store in Georgetown displayed the dioramas while highlighting the Buddy Bison program, part of the National Park Trust which helps to teach young students about conservation and understanding of the nation’s parks.
