Every year the third grade is lucky to perform an original musical written by their teacher Carolyn Cohen’s husband and author Rob Cohen. This year’s show was called “Get Out! The Buddy Bison Musical,” was written by Mr. Cohen for the National Park Trust, and encourages youth to set aside their electronic gizmos and head outside to explore the stunning, open spaces available to them in the outdoors.
Three students shared the starring role of Buddy Bison. The performance paid tribute to America’s national parks and monuments with a song recognizing all the locales from A to Z, minus X, for which there is no park/monument.
The colorful and creative sets were created by junior Esther Kim, who received some artistic input from the young performers!
