Caring for Cambodia Founder Visits

Jamie Amelio speaks about the work of the organization and the next Bullis Global Services Trip

Caring for Cambodia CEO and founder Jamie Amelio visited Bullis recently to talk about the organization during Bullis’ World Hunger Day assembly. She shared with the students information about the work of CFC, which supports 6500 Cambodian children, has built 15 new schools in the country and serves 120,000 meals each day. Ms. Amelio stayed throughout the school day to talk with smaller groups of students and classes about the great need in Cambodia and the work CFC does.

A group of Bullis students went to Cambodia to work with CFC last year (read more) and another trip is planned for December. Isabelle King ’12, who went on the previous trip, introduced Ms. Amelio at the assembly and spoke about the impact the trip had on her life. That group’s work is featured in a recent article in the alumni publication of the Singapore American School (which can be found here on pages 32-33 in the publication).
